About me and how I work

My approach is integrative which means I draw on several different theoretical approaches to support my work. I have received training in the following approaches: Humanistic, Intergrative, Psychodynamic, Existential, CBT and Brief term work. I also work in a client centred (or humanistic) way which means that I work differently with everyone because each of us and our needs and experiences are unique.

Membership of Professional Bodies

I am an accredited member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
I am a registered provider with BUPA, Aviva, Vitality, Cigna, and Helix Health Services Ltd.  
I am fully insured and have an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service)
I am also a member of and work for a counselling charity in Cambridge
I am fully insured.


My most recent training (integrative) was an MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling at Regent’s College in London.
My initial training was psychodynamic with the CCC (Cambridgeshire Consultancy in Counselling).
I have also trained in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for Health and Well-being.
I have done some brief work training.
Each year I undertake Continuing Professional Development.

Other experience

I have experience and knowledge of the 12 step programme of recovery.
I have also been trained and have worked with a National Bereavement Support Charity.
